Congratulations to Iric Bressler, D.C. United's October Coach of the Month!

Iric Bressler grew up playing soccer in New Jersey for Ocean United SC and Ocean Twp High School. He attended the United States Naval Academy where he was a 4-year letter winner (1979-1982) and a Co-Captain (1982). He also played on the All-West Coast/All-Western Pacific Teams for United States Marine Corps (1984-1986) and was an All-Marine Selection in 1985.

He coached recreational soccer in Iwakuni, Japan from 1992-1996. Coach Bressler joined the Stafford Soccer Club in 1996 and obtained "D" National License Course in 1999. He was a staff member of the U.S. Naval Academy Soccer Camp from 2000-2006, and was director of the US Naval Soccer Camp in 2002-2003.

He began coaching Stafford Azzurri in 2002, as one of the first Stafford Soccer Club's "classic" teams. His team has played in ODSL and then the NCSL since spring of 2003, rising to D2, and they played in NCSL last spring (sit-out) and fall of 2006.
