Dave Williams, who passed away on April 28, is being honored as D.C. United's June Coach of the Month.

An outstanding individual, Dave was the chair of the VYSA TOPSoccer Program - his hard work, enthusiasm, and big heart helped bring the VYSA program to more than 20 soccer programs.

In addtion, Dave was the Region I Girls Olympic Development Program Goalkeeping Staff Coach and was a coach with Annandale High School and the Annandale Boys and Girls Club. He also was a senior coaching staff member with the Bethany Soccer Camps.

Dave spent the past five years traveling throughout Virginia, and the mid-Atlantic, setting up TOPSoccer programs and conducting clinics geared towards children with special needs. He understood that soccer is truly a game for everyone.
