D.C. United has become a leader in youth development for Major League Soccer. As part of a strong commitment to the DC-Metro Community, D.C. United's Academy will be hosting winter indoor training sessions for boys and girls at Sports Network and Fitness in Manassas, Virginia. We have designed age-specific programs for proper technical and tactical development. Students will be put in a challenging environment that demands good training habits and encourages players to develop to their full potential.

PROGRAM:
Our Winter Indoor Academy curriculum is specifically designed to meet the needs of a potential or serious soccer player. This comprehensive program will emphasize individual skills, small-sided games, passing and shooting, and creativity on a futsal hard court (100 x 50 ft). Students will be challenged each week through top-class instruction from D.C. United's Academy Staff in training sessions and physical testing while being evaluated for the Academy youth teams. Our goal is to provide a challenging environment that will replicate the training habits of D.C. United players and youth Academy team players. Our elite age groups on Sundays are being offered specifically for players who feel they may have the potential to play on our Academy youth teams.
Due to the size of the facility, space is limited to the first 25 players in each group so register now!
GOAL:
Our goal is to provide a challenging environment that demands good training habits. Ultimately, this will encourage a passion for the game by showing players how to accelerate their own progress through self-teaching. Everyone will leave our training sessions with renewed energy, improved self-confidence and motivation. Our progressive winter training program is a fun and rewarding experience that will prepare each player for the Spring 2009 season.

Temperature controlled indoor soccer and futsal facility with two new playing fields: one synthetic grass field (116 x 76 ft) with tempered glass panels AND one new official U.S. futsal hard court (100 x 50 ft). Lighted parking, upgraded locker rooms, fitness training, remodeled upper level skybox lounge and viewing area, and snack bar with 42-inch HD plasma TV.
