MLS Experience
2006: Nickell appeared in three first team matches for D.C. United, in two U.S. Open Cup matches and in the team's 1-1 draw with Real Salt Lake on 9/9. The forward also played an important role with the United reserve team, logging a team-high four goals to go with four assists in 11 games (eight starts).2005: In his first pro season, Nickell made four League appearances. The Drake University product was instrumental in the reserve team's inaugural title, finishing with the second-most goals on the team (four) in nine games (seven starts).
College
2004: As one of Drake University's all-time marquee products, Nickell holds single season records in goals (13), assists (11) and points (37). Nickell ended his collegiate career tied for the all-time assist record with 22 and ranked second in goals (31) and points (84). In his senior season, Nickell led the Bulldog offense for the third consecutive year accumulating a balanced 21 points, scoring seven goals and assisting on seven more. He was named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament Team.2003: Nickell had the best offensive year in Drake history, scoring 13 goals and adding 11 assists for a total of 37 points. He was named All-Midwest Region First-Team and All-MVC First-Team and ranked seventh in the NCAA with a 1.95 points-per-game average.
2002: In his sophomore campaign, Nickell scored five game-winning goals, which ranked second in the conference. He led the Bulldogs offense with seven goals and four assists for 18 total points.
2001: Nickell made his presence felt during his freshman season, accumulating eight points on four goals.
