MLS Experience

2008: In his debut season with D.C. United, Kirk played in 10 games (one start) and scored one goal in 135 minutes of field time. The midfielder started all ten games for the D.C. United reserves, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 897 minutes. He played two games (one start) for the Black-and-Red during its successful U.S. Open Cup campaign and saw minutes in four CONCACAF Champions League games (three starts).

2007: During his final season in Los Angeles, Kirk made 11 appearances (five starts) for the first team, as he was used in both the defense and midfield. He also played in three SuperLiga games (one start), tallied an assist in three reserve division games (all starts) and started in a U.S. Open cup game, a 1-0 loss to the Richmond Kickers on 7/11.

2006: Kirk had a breakout second season with the Galaxy, Appearing in 22 games (10 starts) and notching two assists. His first career assist came in a 2-0 win over Kansas City on 7/1. He tallied his first career goal in U.S. Open Cup play during a 2-0 win over Roma FC on 8/1. He also played in six reserve games (all starts), collecting an assist in 345 minutes on the pitch.

2005: A member of Generation adidas, Kirk was selected by the Los Angeles Galaxy in the third round (34th overall) of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft. He was unable to participate in an MLS match due to a broken right foot early in the year, U.S. U-17 National Team duty and a sprained right foot near the end of the season.

International

2007: Featured as a right back in two CONCACAF U-20 Final Round Qualifying Tournament games (both starts). Kirk, unfortunately, was unable to participate in the U-20 World Cup in Canada due to injury.

2006:Kirk made the jump from the U-17s to the U.S. U-20 National Team, collecting two assists in five games (four starts). He was also called up to U-20 training camp in preparation for FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007 qualifying.

2005: Kirk suffered a broken right foot in April after posting 16 goals and five assists in just 15 games to begin the year. He was sidelined for most of the summer, but did play extensively for the U.S. at the FIFA Under-17 World Championships in Peru, making three total appearances (all starts). He sprained the same foot during the tournament and was unable to play the rest of the year.

2004: Made 39 total appearances (37 starts) with the U.S. U-17s, scoring 11 goals and adding four assists to lead the team in scoring.

2003: Kirk joined the U.S. U-17 Residency Program in Bradenton, FL and promptly went on to lead the team in scoring with 11 goals and seven assists in 19 games.
