MLS Experience

2007: Known as one of United's most durable players, Josh Gros' 2007 was unusual as the midfielder missed several games due to a concussion and subsequent migraines. Despite this fact, the tireless worker played in both the midfield and as an outside defender in the team's four-man backline in 22 games (all starts), logging a goal and an assist in 1,854 minutes on the field. Gros' lone goal was a game-winner in the team's 3-0 win over New England on 6/10.

2006: Josh Gros continued his rapid development in 2006, starting each of the 29 games in which he played. He set a career-high with five assists and also chalked up three goals on his way to his first MLS All-Star game. The adaptable midfielder provided the game-winning goal against Houston on 4/15 and the game-winning assist against Kansas City on 6/24.

2005: Following a very successful rookie campaign, Josh Gros continued his solid form throughout 2005. In all, he notched four goals - including the Goal of the Week versus Columbus on 5/7 - and four assists while playing in 30 total games (29 starts). He played just four minutes less than teammate Brian Carroll for second most on the team (2,563).

2004: Gros made a quick transition during the season from fill-in substitute to full-time starter, becoming the first United draft pick to log more than 2,000 minutes since the club's inaugural season. Gros' lone goal on the season came in the 48th minute against the Colorado Rapids on 5/22. The Rutgers graduate played the second half of the season with a cast protecting his broken right wrist.

International

Prior to the start of the MLS season, Gros earned his first-ever cap with the U.S. Men's National Team, after taking part in two January training camps. He made his first appearance with the U.S. a 68th minute sub in the team's 2-1 win over Mexico on 2/7.

2002: Gros had a breakout year after moving to a more offensive midfield position midway through the season, totaling 13 points on six goals and one assist. Gros was named Co-MVP as he tied for the team's lead in goals with six and was one of seven Scarlet Knights to start all 19 games.

2001: Gros started all 22 games in which he appeared and finished the season with three assists.
